No matter how hard I tried to imagine the outcome of my "redesign", it didn't come close to the thrill I experienced walking into my own home.
From precious, heart warming keepsakes to larger pieces of art and furniture, all were arranged to showcase their uniqueness and yet it all added up to such a welcoming and gracious effect. Perhaps the crowning jewel, was to have my own space tucked away while still featuring my favorite antique desk. All in all, simply stunning.
Thank you for the obvious care and joy you took to create this wonderful,new look.

Not being able to imagine that the redesigners could make much difference in the three rooms that were the main focus (living room, dining room and bedroom), I couldn't have been more surprised when I arrived home at the end of the day to see what they had got up to!
The livingroom is two words is working out very well with it's modifications, the diningroom is two words has a much clearer, less cluttered look, and I find my bedroom more welcoming and serene, now that it's not also being used to warehouse things that should have been let go long ago!
Although some of the changes are subtle, it's amazing the difference they can make. I've discovered that this really hasn't been just a "home" redesign. It's also a "psychological" redesign in that we're now starting to look forward to entertain again, something I've let lapse completely over the last year. I believe the effect has also been felt on my teenage daughter, because she seems to be making more of an effort to pick up after herself as well. Long may that last.
You were also all so wonderful and enthusiastic about it all. It revived in me a new appreciation of all the wonderful things that are in our house and which I'd tired of. In a new setting, they become new again too!"

What can I say? Dana and her team are miracle workers! After being told by a previous designer that my home was out dated, lacked style and would require extensive remodeling not to mention the cost, I was devastated.
Then, I got a second opinion. This is where Dana came in, that step proved to be one of the best choices I could have made. At our consultation meeting Dana listened. She asked the right questions; what did I want people to feel when they entered my home? What items did I treasure and which ones had meaning? She reassured me that these things would be worked into the overall design. Her assurance that my home had great possibilities, that they would use my existing items to create a positive effect, gave me a feeling of relief.
When the big event arrived, I was excited all day, (almost like Christmas) waiting until I could see the redesign. I finally returned home, the impact hit me immediately, I was in awe the moment I walked in the door. Nothing was the same and everything so much better. It was like stepping into a totally different home with everything you cherish in perfect harmony.

Dana, thank you to you and your students for re-designing our three rooms. We are having a difficult time leaving home now. We have been spending time just sitting and admiring our new rooms. Now that our art work and accessories are placed properly it is as if all of our things are new again. It was such a surprise coming home and seeing such a transformation. You and your students were so pleasant and hardworking and you could sense the pride you instill in your students and their accomplishments. I have always dreamed of rejuvenating my living room, but to be truthful, I didn't know where to begin. After many hours of struggling for the best placement of furniture, I simply left it for another day - undone. When Dana contacted me I was excited about the opportunity of finally getting something done.
I was totally amazed at the transition - the mood of the room was totally changed into a very exciting, pleasing design and the two rooms were made more striking by changing the furniture placement; creating areas of interest with existing accessories and artistically re-hanging the paintings. I never thought the rooms could look so great! You and your team's quick inventory of our rooms and your experienced eye turned our living room and the family room into two fabulous and beautiful rooms that I am pleased to show off. My husband is as enthusiastic about the changes as I am.
The living room has a comfortable and inviting environment. It was made more striking by unifying the various individual areas creating a feeling of beauty. The furniture is well positioned for ease of communication and the pictures (albeit be they mine) blend in a harmony of colors completing the transition.
Downstairs, the family room change was huge. The room now feels comfortable to be in as well as possessing a very elegant visual aura about it. We feel that impact when we spend our evenings there.
What a superb team effort and all done in one day! Thanks to you and all the team for doing a great job which gives us much pleasure.

I tried to imagine what you might do.. but this is 20,000 times better than I could have ever imagined. WOW!!!! You found things of mine and moved them together in ways only a professional designer could. The dramatic change makes our home so much more useable, not to mention beautiful to be in. Our junk (overflow) room has become useable for the first time in 2 years. We love it
Your preliminary interview and recommendations made the process really easy for me to follow. My little shopping list of accessories were very easy to find and what a world of difference those few items made. Its like you saw the rooms' potential before anything was done.
I kept thinking if I was moving, your service would help me sell my home, but I am lucky that I get to stay here and enjoy the improvement! When the time comes that we may sell and move, it would be money well spent.
When you are a busy mom of a toddler with another one on the way, a room makeover is something I wouldn't have found the time or energy to tackle. You gave us that little boost of organization and structure and serenity that comes with a tidy and pretty home.

When Dana first came over for our home staging consultation I was in total shock and overwhelmed with the changes she indicated we need to make to prepare our house for selling next month. However my husband and my family decided we would start the work she recommended to get top dollar and to help sell sooner. When Dana arrived with her students she was very impressed with all the work we had done in the week to prepare - my children did a lot of painting to help! Well I cannot tell you how much she and her students accomplished in just one day. I was so shocked at the transformation of my home that I was speechless. My husband kept walking around admiring all the changes that made our space look so elegant and open. He even suggested perhaps they don't move ["I'm buying back my house", he said.] because it looks so fantastic. Well, basically I needed to list and sell quickly so I could move. I am a single parent, I was looking at options for "sprucing up my home" to maximize its selling potential on a shoestring budget. Well Dana became my 'consultant diva'. I had to warn her that I had kids, hence lots of kids stuff and....admit to being design and decluttering challenged. So, I was really looking forward to her help. Dana and her team did SO much hard work all day long. Loved the nook and the prints from her inventory that she put up. The furniture placement is just great and something I never would have thought of. By doing the redesign staging it gave me so much more incentive to purge and get the rest of the house looking the same. Well - we received multiple offers and sold for 2% over asking. Now I have to remember simplify for the next home..

Dana - how can we thank you! You have taken our house from average to 'AMAZING' with the perfect colour scheme choice and staging. We were initially quite sceptical of the new look but now that you have finished the house is looking so fantastic we don't want to move! We were totally amazed at your eye for colour and coordination of accessories and art groupings - you have a great talent we only wish you would expand your business to Europe - we'll need you there. What could have taken us weeks took only a few days of shopping with you and advising us where to shop for some of the things we needed to 'stage' the home for sale.
You also saved us from so many disagreements over colour and furniture placement, we're so thankful for your 'marriage counselling' as well. It's so stressful movng and preparing your home for sale and we really could not have done it withou you. Having a 'neutral' third party to settle differences of opinions really was a marriage saver. Your reminder that we were selling the house and not living in it, was a huge psychological help.

When Dana contacted me from Vancouver looking for a training home staging home I knew exactly the one I had in mind. This house had been on the market for a year and no offers but there was traffic. Well, Dana brought her team of students in and totally transformed that house in just one day. She used their existing furnishings but totally rearranged the home so that the buyer was aware of the spaciousness and the elegance of the home. They removed a lot of personal items and put function back into all of the rooms. The best news yet is the house SOLD in 3 days after they staged it! The client is delighted and needless to say, so am I. I look forward to her next year’s visit!
